The Home of New York Knights Baseball

The NY Knights began in 1999 as an 18-year-old and over baseball team playing in Long Island's MABL Midweek League. In 2000, we continued to play in the MABL Midweek League and entered the Long Island Fourth of July Tournament. In 2001 the Knights switched leagues into the more competitive Suffolk Stan Musial League, where we lost to the Nassau Reds in the Division 2 Championship. We also entered the Long Island Fourth of July Tournament, the Stan Musial Cooperstown Classic, where we defeated the PAL Seminoles to win the Championship, and the Suffolk Stan Musial Fall League, where we lost to the South Shore Heat in the Championship.

In 2002, the Knights played a double schedule in Suffolk Stan Musial League's Division 1 and Division 2, entered The Mid West Suburban League (Chicago) Fourth of July Tournament, the Stan Musial Cooperstown Classic, and the MABL Disney Holiday Classic. The Knights captured the Chicago Classic Championship, scoring 118 runs over the six game tournament, by defeating the Chicago Cubs (amateur team) in the bottom of the ninth by a score of 8-7. Once they returned to Long Island, the Knights finished the summer season by finally winning a regular season championship when they defeated the LI Cardinals by a score of 4-3.

In 2003, the Knights made the total transition into Division 1 of the New Long Island Stan Musial League. The Knights successfully defended their title in Chicago taking the title of co-champion due to heavy rains. The rain followed the Knights to the Cooperstown tournament championship game where the Knights were runners up after being defeated by the Long Island Black Sox.

In 2004, the Knights found plenty to do in Chicago, but baseball wasn't one of them as they didn't even make the playoffs. Upon returning to Long Island, the Knights turned the season around and became the Long Island Stan Musial Divison 1A Champions.

2005 is marked by the NY Knights combining teams with the LI Cardinals to produce an uber-NY Knights team. Each year our team becomes more talented, wins more games, has more fun, and becomes a closer "family". We hope you explore our site and become a New York Knights Fan. Enjoy!
