Moving to a more pleasing and possibly the best game of the fall, Sunday at Lasalle displayed the resilience of the Knights with an 8-7 victory over the Black Sox. Entering the game the Black Sox had only 1 loss, which happened to be be the hands of the Knights. The Black Sox took an immediate 2 run lead, but before the first inning was over Pat Conway doubled in 2 runs and Adam Myers put the Knights ahead with a 3 run homer. The Black Sox came back to tie the game up in the third which remained the score until the seventh. In the top of the inning the Black Sox scored 2 unearned runs. Another tema may have givn up just to get home to a warmer place, but the Knights had other plans. Before an out was made the Knights had loaded the bases and cut the lead to one when Pat Conway scored on a Frank Giglio single. After a force out at the plate, Billy Vogt stepped up and sinlged in both the tying and winning runs with Richie Cave winning the game with a tremendous slide.
All this adds up to a 9 and 3 fall season record for the Knights. It may be cold, but fans are always welcome and often involved in the games. See you there!
