Knights Win Third Round Game

The New York Knights won their third round playoff game against the Brewers, 6-2.

First baseman John Bosch hit a three-run home run in the first inning to provide all the offense the Knights would need. Pitcher Greg Holmes was excellent, going the distance, allowing just four hits. He struck out 11 batters, tying the team record he set in his last appearance.

Leftfielder Frank Giglio had two hits, and third baseman Pat Conway and shortstop Tommy Reilly ech scored two runs.

But who has time to talk about old news? This reporter has to hurry up and get to the Knights next game, tonight at 5PM at Birchwood Park. That game has now been postponed to Monday at 8pm at Birchwood Park against the #1 seeded Nassau Reds.
