Game Summary

9 Knights Stand Tall, but Can't Pull Out the Victory.

Although the Knights have a roster of 24, phone calls and last minute show-ups gave the Knights a 9 man team. In the top of the first Sean McGuire led off with a single, stole second and scored on a Tommy Reilly single giving the Knights a 1-0 lead. The bottom of the first started great with a strikeout, but the next 3 Black Sox batters got some good aluminum on the ball, belting back-to-back-to-back homers giving the Black Sox a 3-1 lead, but then pitcher Ryan Eskridge found his groove.

With the score 4-1 in the top of the fifth, the Black Sox got 2 quick outs, but the Knights were not to be denied. Ryan Eskridge started the offense with a walk. A Sean McGuire single and a Billy Vogt walk loaded the bases for the hot hitting Tommy Reilly and he did not disappoint. A 3 run game tying double followed.

After the Black Sox regained the lead in the bottom of the inning, John Bosch re-tied the score with a lead off homerun to straight away center, unfortunately for the Knights that was the last run the could muster. The Black Sox took back the lead with 2 runs on 2 hits in the bottom of the sixth and that was how it ended.

Knights Knotes:
* Manager Paxton Provitera continued his strikeout or walk streak with a perfect 3 for 3 in K's...let's not make him have to hit anymore!!!
