With the score 3-2, the Knights tookthe field, but quickly found themselves in a jam. A leadoff walk then a single gave the Storm a distinct advantage, but pitcher Mike Urtnowski had something to say about things. A strikeout then hit batter loaded the bases with 1 out. Another strikeout and it started to look better for the Knights. That is until the light pole almost fell down and the bases were cleared.
Now down 8-2 the Knights seemed down, but they weren't out yet! The 6th inning saw the Knights cut the lead down to 8-6 on six hits by Conway, Bosch, Gruttadauria, Urtnowski, Cave, and McGuire and a sacrifice fly by O'Shea.
Unfortunately a few missed oppurtunities left the Knights behind and the Storm bats proved to be too much on this night. Two more homeruns led to an 11-6 lead and final.
* Dan O'Shea doesn't seem to realize he's a PITCHER...what to do?!?!
* Sean McGuire's 2002 debut seemed to be an extension of 2001: a late inning 2 RBI single and stolen base along with a diving grab in center...He's back!
