Game Summary

Knights lose to New Hyde Park Tigers!

After a quick top of the first from Knights' pitcher Lucas Clementz, Sean McGuire led off with a 9 pitch walk. Sean proceeded to steal second and third, which enabled him to score on a Tommy Reilly sacrifice fly. The Knights' offense showed one other sign of life in the second inning when Hector Rolon singled and Richie cave doubled with 1 out, but the bottom of the lineup was unable to capitalize.

The Tigers squibbed 15 seeing eye hits throughout the game off starter Lucas Clementz and newcomer Forrest Irwin, but the turning point of the game was a controversial call with 2 outs and 2 runners on in the fourth inning. John Bosch made a diving catch, rolled over twice and upon getting up the ball rolled out of the glove. After the base umpire called it a no catch, the Knights seemed to be demoralized as the Tigers plated 3 in the inning and tacked on runs in each of the remaining frames.

Knights Knotes:
* The Knights hit 4-5 homeruns today, but with no fences they were once again just long outs!
