Game Summary

Knights Split with Rangers!

In a rematch against the team that beat the Knights in the playoffs last year, the Suffolk Rangers and the Knights drove all the way to Eisenhower Park to face off. In the first of 2 Tommy Reilly was dominant allowing 2 unearned runs on 4 hits while striking out 6. The Knights forgot who was on the mound and came through for Tommy with 2 runs in the second and 4 in the third to get Tommy his second win of the season.

The second game saw the return of Jordan Cox to the mound. After a rocky first inning where the Rangers scored 5 runs, only 2 of which were earned, Jordan settled down allowing 3 more runs on 6 scattered hits. The Knights battled back all game bringing the score to 7-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Knights found themselves down by 3 in the seventh, but the final comeback push proved to be too little too late as the Knights lost 8-6 leaving a man at second in the final frame.
